Usually going into the fall season everybody looks forward to dark, vampy colors in their wardrobe and makeup. I got very excited when I saw Lauren Conrad was coming out with a fall line that was the opposite of that. The line she came out with for the fall was the LC Runway collection and it is filled with pastels and flowing skirts and dresses. There was one item in the collection that stood out the most was the Faux-Suede Moto Jacket. It’s a gorgeous pastel pink with rose gold detailing, the second I saw this jacket I was dying over it. I usually never really get to excited about fall clothing since I live in South Florida and it still feels like summer for the majority of the fall season, but this jacket is the one exception. I can’t get enough of it, what is your fall obsession? Let me know in the comments!
As much as I love the fall time and the excitement of the holidays that is around the corner. It also gets harder to stick to my fitness plan I set for myself. I don’t have a specific wrote out plan that tells me what to eat and when to workout. However, I do like to make sure that I am getting in the macro nutrients that my body needs and I find that working out relieves so much stress for me. I was doing great with following through with my diet and workouts in the summer, but when school started it started to fall off to the side. With working, doing school and coaching cheerleading I slowly stopped going to the gym and wasn’t tracking what I was eating. Even though it is extremely hard to find time for fitness it is very important to make it a priority. I am going to share with you what I like to do for my diet and fitness routine.
First, even though everybody says this, drink water. I never realized how important this was until I started tracking it and becoming more aware of how much my body needed this. It can prevent me from over eating or eating when I’m not really hungry. One of the easiest things to do whenever you leave your house is to grab a bottle of water, so do it!
Next, I find it very helpful to track what I eat. By doing this, it is making you aware of what you are putting into your body. I love to do this with the MyFitnessPal app because no matter where I am I can quickly type in what I am eating and see if it fits in with my calories and macros for the day. Having a flexible diet is a good balance for eating what you want, while also being conscious of what is going into your body.
For working out, this is really just going to depend on your personal preference. I do both gym and at home workouts, depending on how busy I am that day. For at home workouts, I like to go on Instagram and my favorite fitness account is from Alexa Jean Brown, I love her posts she has a lot of quick circuit workouts on her page. Also if you do have time and make it to a gym to get through the dreaded cardio session I like to listen to music or watch YouTube videos. Listening to music gets me pumped up and keeps me going, but if I want a change from that I watch Nikki Blackketter’s YouTube channel. She is my other favorite fitness inspiration. Watching a fitness vlogger is good inspiration to get through a workout.
I know these things may not work for everybody, but it is just what I like to do personally. I always like to see what other people do for their fitness routines and I am always changing and improving mine. Let me know what you like to do for your fitness routine down in the comments!
It’s officially fall!!! This means cooler weather, pumpkin spice lattes, holidays are coming and my favorite obsession candy corn. I love summer so much but fall and the month of October gets me excited every year because it is my busiest month out of the year. My birthday and my little sisters birthday is in October, the first cheerleading competition of the season is in October, not to mention Halloween, school, and work is all thrown into the month as well. I barely have time to breathe, every minute of my day planned during the month and I love it.
So before my crazy schedule starts I decided to start off the fall season with a fun hair transformation! Just to tell you about myself I almost never cut my hair I might cut it or get it trimmed once or twice a year. I am always so afraid of it looking bad so I never get it done (I know that’s bad..haha); but I have a friend who is getting ready to graduate from the Paul Mitchell School so I knew she would make my hair look amazing without it being too traumatic of a change. My hair took about two hours and thirty minutes (did not expect it to be that long but it was worth it) I got a cut, color and style and it turned out amazing. I know most people go darker with their hair for the fall but I went the opposite direction and decided to go lighter. She ended up doing a balayage on my hair which is probably the only thing for color I will ever do on my hair because it turns out so natural and looks amazing, I would recommend it to anybody.
I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about having short hair in my life but I have been obsessed with it. I also love it because I got to donate my hair to locks of love which is my favorite organization; they make wigs for children with cancer. I have done this a few times when I was in elementary school and will do this whenever I can. It goes for a great cause and after knowing people and children who have gone through cancer I love to help organizations like this whenever I can. So if you have very long hair and are considering getting it cut DO IT. Even if you don’t like the way your hair turns out its going for a good cause and like my mom always says you can grow it out and change it again (haha gotta love moms). Let me know what you are most excited about for this fall season down in the comments.
