Wanderlust

Welcome back 🙂 This week something very exciting happened, the Chloe + Isabel spring launch of Wanderlust!!! I have been so excited to share this collection with all of you because it has everything you could want for spring. For this collection, C+I wanted to take everyone on a journey and each piece of jewelry is inspired by a city.

The first stop is in Paris, boarding the Orient Express. This collection, Parisian Belle, is inspired by what you would think of passengers wearing aboard this luxurious train. Parisian Belle has literally anything you want from a bold statement to a nice everyday jewelry piece. With gorgeous pinks and dark blues you can’t go wrong.

Our next stop on this journey is in Budapest. This collection Misty Morning was inspired by the way the fog settles onto the gorgeous cityscape. The collection features incredible lavenders, mint & baby blue hues. It is what you think of for a fun spring brunch.

After your day in Budapest has ended, we are boarding the train once again for a sunset ride through the country side. Which is exactly what the Sunset Vista collection represents. Imagine a lavish, ornate 1920’s train ride with the velvet & dark cherry wood. You can have a little piece of that heaven with this collection.

Now that our relaxing train ride through the country side has ended, we are in Istanbul for the Turkish Delight collection! Istanbul has so many gorgeous, fun playful patterns and colors throughout the city. Which is captured in this jewelry, not only is it stunning but it is also the perfect transition to have from spring to summer.

Our trip is now ending with our Modern Mosaic collection inspired by Turkey’s amazing art & architecture. This collection is featured with soft pastels paired with amazing geometric shapes. Whether you want something trendy or classic, this collection has that covered.

I hope you all enjoy the story of this collection as much as I did. The launch of Wanderlust has me itching to go explore some new places. These collections are some of my favorites and I can’t wait to wear them for spring! I only featured some of my top favorites today, so to see all of the pieces you can go to my boutique alissagilbert.chloeandisabel.com to check out the rest!

Let me know what your favorite piece of jewelry is down in the comments!

Halo Eye Look

Hello everyone, can you believe it’s already August?! It seems so crazy to me that fall is right around the corner. While I am going to get the most out of this last month of summer, I am so excited to have pumpkin spice lattes and glammed up makeup looks again.

Looking back at the makeup looks I have done on here so far they are mostly natural looks, because that’s what I wear on a day-to-day basis. However I want to start stepping out of my comfort zone and do more smokey, intense, fun looks. Today I did a halo inspired eye look, which I am now obsessed with! I have been wanting to dip into my Meet Matt(e) Trimony palette and play with the shade Matt Kumar because it’s a gorgeous red shade that can be used so many ways. I was going to do a step by step tutorial on this look but quickly realized that this would take 20 minutes to read, nobody has that kind of time lol. Instead, I am going to list the makeup products I used. If you want a tutorial on this looks let me know in the comments and I can do a video on it 🙂

Natural Glam Makeup

Welcome back! I feel like this is going to be a little bit of a crazy week but I am going to stay determined to reach my goals. Today I am doing a makeup look, that I literally wear all of the time, and I realized I have never made a post about it so we are going to change that today. I called this look natural glam because this can be a look that has very minimal makeup or a look that has all of the “cake-up” you want lol. I wear it both ways, however lately here in Florida it has been ridiculously hot and humid so I opted for makeup I can wear all day without it looking gross.

I don’t know why the left eye doesn’t look the same as the right because in person they both look the same lol.

Fitness Friyay!

Welcome back lovelies 🙂 Today’s post is going to be fitness inspired. I don’t know about anyone else but for about the last week or so I have been in a fitness slump. It’s time to get out of that and to get my butt back in the gym. One of the best ways to do that is to find a fun workout that interests you. The Tone It Up girls, Karena and Katrina, are one of my favorite fitness trainers to do that. They have a number of different workout programs and videos, some of the ones I love are actually found on Pinterest.

 :

If you search them on Pinterest you will find workouts that target your entire body, but today this leg and booty workout stood out to me. I love these so much because you don’t have to go to a gym to do this exercise, you can do it wherever you are. While I am challenging myself to get out of my workout slump by starting with this routine. I challenge all of you to complete this workout or another one by the Tone It Up girls, and trust me you will be feeling it when your done!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, and I will be back on Tuesday.

Summer Office Style

Hello everyone, I hope your summer has been going well so far! Mine has been a little crazy to say the least but I never forget to take some time to slow down and remember what’s really important. I am very excited to share this post today because I was inspired by Tommy John, to share my summer office style tips. I’m sure many of us have been there, stuck not knowing what to wear because it’s boiling hot outside but -10 in the office. Today I am going to help you figure it all out.

First I am going to start off with the ladies. When going out shopping for business attire it can be overwhelming with so many options. One of the first things you want to do is pick out your essentials. This will be different for everybody, it really just depends on what your preferences are. It will also depend on your job and what you can move around in all day. However for the hot summer months, a must have for anyone is a blouse that has chiffon type of material. It is flattering on many different body types but it also is comfortable in the heat and you can easily put a cardigan on when you step into the office. It also goes great with dress pants or a pencil skirt, whichever your must have is.

IMG_0720

Now for the men, it can be a little bit tricky because it doesn’t seem like there aren’t as many options. However they way men style their look is what can make it comfortable for the summer months. I think the number one rule men need to know for the summer time is you can never go wrong with a button down shirt rolled with a 3/4 sleeve. Button down shirts work for so many different occasions and when you roll up the sleeves it’s a great way to keep the look professional but comfortable. Also if there is a day you have a big presentation and need to look a little more dressed up, you can always put on a jacket in the office. However vests are also a great alternative, it dresses up the look without having the feeling of a heavy jacket in the summer time.

I hope you enjoyed these summer office style tips, I absolutely loved sitting down to write this post. Also I want to give a big thank you to Tommy John for giving me inspiration for this post. If you want to complete the summer office look for men then stop over to the Tommy John men’s underwear page because that’s the real summer essential…right? lol

Check back on Friyay for another post 🙂

Fab Friday

Yay we have made it to Friday! Even though I’m not a morning person at all there is something so refreshing about getting a morning workout in. It starts the tone for the day and makes you feel good and ready to go. Although my weekend is filled with work and more work, I’m still excited to squeeze in some pool time.

This describes my wife perfectly. She is in absolute bliss by the water. I have this incredible photo of her on the coast of Oregon, USA and she has on the most incredible smile I've ever seen. I fully intend to create more of those experiences for her.:

I hope you all have a fun and safe weekend filled with BBQ’s and fireworks! Also check back tomorrow to see a cute 4th of July makeup look.

Pool day Playlist

Good Morning 🙂 I hope you all are having a great week so far. To continue on with my summer series, I am sharing my top songs that I can’t stop playing. I don’t know about anyone else but any day that I am not working I have spent laying in the pool. It’s so relaxing to kick back and listen to your favorite songs while soaking up the sun. No matter if I’m in the car, laying by the pool, going to the beach, here are my top songs that you need to have on your playlist this summer.

  • Can’t Stop the Feeling – Justin Timberlake ( I am obsessed with this song!)
  • Don’t Let Me Down – The Chainsmokers
  • Kill Em with Kindness – Selena Gomez
  • Me Too – Meghan Trainor (Every time I hear this song I can’t get it out of my head lol)
  • Work from Home – Fifth Harmony

And I have to throw in some country songs for the summer too. These songs are not new but I have been loving them for a while and never get tired of them.

  • Play It Again – Luke Bryan
  • This Is How We Roll – Florida Georgia Line
  • Where It’s At – Dustin Lynch
  • That’s My Kinda Night – Luke Bryan
  • Cruise – Florida Georgia Line

If you couldn’t already tell I really like Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line lol. Let me know what is on your summer playlist down below!

Summer Lovin

Hey everybody, my summer was off to a rocky start (being sick for two weeks), but now I am feeling great and can’t wait to write some more posts. I love everything about summer from the beauty products, fashion, and activities I can never get enough. So one day me and my little sis decided to do a fun summer shoot. She took photography classes this past school year and really got into it. I couldn’t just pick one to use for a post so I am showing you my top picks that she took. I love the way they turned out and this was so much fun to do!
