Happy April! I hope you all are having an amazing start to your month 🙂 I was very excited about this month starting because the new bridal collection just launched on my boutique!!! I love this so much because it isn’t just for brides or guests attending a wedding. This collection is perfect for some extra spring bling. Along with the collection featuring amazing jewelry, we also have some new beauty products debuted as well. With 3 new spring lip gloss colors & 3 new nail polish colors how can you say no?!?! Here are some of my favorites from the collection:
These convertible shoe clips are so amazing!
This is just the beginning. To see the whole collection go to alissagilbert.chloeandisabel.com . A fun bonus is when you order 3 (of the same) item in the bridal collection you get 15% off. When you order 6 or more (of the same) item you get 20% off! Which is the perfect way to save some $$$ when planning a wedding.
I hope you all have a fabulous week, let me know what your most excited for this spring?!
Hi everyone, I hope all you boss babes had a fantastic week! I cannot believe we are coming toward the end of March already, it feels like the year just started. I thought today I would do a little bit of a random post and show you everything I have been loving lately.
Jaclyn Hill videos! Every time I think Jaclyn can’t get any better…she does. Her latest Bronze Gold Smokey Eye video I am obsessed with.
Gorgeous coffee pics. I know this might sound weird but for coffee lovers everywhere how perfect of a morning is this!?!
Pinterest home decor has been driving me insane. Who doesn’t want a living room that looks this cozy?
Lastly, when life gets crazy it’s good to remind yourself that God is in control. Despite anything that is happening, when you have complete faith in him everything will work out.
Have a great weekend loves!
P.S. I wanted to do something special for my amazing blog readers and have been coming up with a few ideas but wanted to know what you all think. If you could please take a second to vote in this poll, I would appreciate it 🙂
Hi loves, I hope you all are having a fabulous start to your week! I love the month of February for many reasons but one of them is because spring is around the corner. I can never wait so I just jumped right into spring makeup. I love this look because you can wear it for Valentine’s Day or anytime for a fun spring day. I am focusing the look just on my eyes today so here is how I got this look.
I started with my Meet Matt(e) Trimony palette
Crease- I blended Matt Lin & Matt Evans all over, I then went in with a more dense crease brush and just used Matt Evans to make it more defined.
With the same dense crease brush I took Matt Rossi and focused it in the lower part of my crease & blended until everything looked seamless.
Lid- I first took Matt Thomas from my inner corner to about half-way across my lid.
Then I used Too Faced shadows that unfortunately are no longer available (it was from a holiday palette) so I found colors in their Sweet Peach palette that are similar.
First use a flat eye shadow brush with setting spray on it to apply the shade Just Peachy.
When that dries use more setting spray and go in with the color Bellini just in the center of your lid to add dimension.
Lower lash line- With a soft eye shadow brush smudge Matt Evans all over your lower lash line.
Then take a more flat dense liner brush with the same Matt Evans shadow to make it more intense.
Finish with your favorite liner & mascara then viola, you have a gorgeous spring pink look! This is by far my favorite look for Valentine’s Day & just for the spring season in general.
Let me know what your favorite spring look is down in the comments!
P.S. tonight the new spring jewelry collection launching on my boutique at 10:00pm EST!!! You can be the first to see it before I feature it on my blog at alissagilbert.chloeandisabel.com
Happy Monday! I am so excited to be posting a weekly beauty obsession because I feel like it’s been forever since I have done one. I have currently been loving the Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Powder. I was looking a while for a powder that had decent coverage for days when I don’t want to wear foundation, and I was so happy when I found this.
I love this for days when I don’t want to wear foundation, or when I want extra coverage over my foundation. While it doesn’t claim to be a long wearing powder it last all day on my skin. It is Maybelline’s first skin powder that has salicylic acid, which is suppose to help clear/fight breakouts. Which I love because it doesn’t clog my pores and doesn’t irritate my skin. Although, I wish Maybelline had a bigger shade range for this line, the 8 shades they do have are good for many different skin tones. It does come with a sponge applicator but I find that using a big powder brush applies the product better. Overall I love this product and will definitely be repurchasing it! You can find it at most drugstores, I got mine at Ulta.com for only $10.99.
If you have any other face powder recommendations for me to try let me know in the comments! Check back later this week for another post 🙂
Hi loves, I am so excited to be back posting especially since it’s officially the holiday season now! Christmas is by far my favorite time of the year, I love hanging out with friends & family relaxing and taking a moment to realize how blessed I really am.
One of my other favorite parts about the holiday season is obviously the makeup! I love wearing a classic winged eyeliner with a red lip, or going full glam and with a ton of glitter. The first look I wanted to do was a basic, everyday holiday look. Either something you could wear to work or to go out to lunch during the day. I am obsessed with this look because to me it’s a classic holiday look that you can never go wrong with.

Hi loves, I wanted to start this week off with a fun bonus post! Today I am doing a review of the Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance foundation review. I have been testing this product out for a few weeks and haven’t written a post about it yet because it confused me. I’m not obsessed with this foundation but I still like it, doesn’t make sense right…I’ll explain.
I was excited to try this because it says it’s made for combination skin types (I’m normal to combo skin) and it has a powder core. I will give Maybelline creativity points because I have never seen anything else in the drugstore like this. However, this foundation is not for all of my full coverage 24/7 girls, it is much more of a natural to sheer coverage foundation.
My first impression of this was that I hated it, I thought it didn’t do anything to my skin and was a waste. After using it a few times I started to like it more. You have to apply the foundation to your face in sections and run the foundation over your skin 3-4 times for it to look good. I love using this for an everyday/work look because it evens out my redness, it dries to a powder finish so I don’t have to set my face with powder and it will last me through an 8 hour shift. If you have very dry skin you will probably not like this because the powder finish may leave your skin looking dehydrated. For my normal to oily girls who like a natural finish foundation I would definitely recommend you give this a try.
What’s your latest drugstore find? Let me know in the comments, drink your coffee and have a fabulous Monday.
Hello everyone, can you believe it’s already August?! It seems so crazy to me that fall is right around the corner. While I am going to get the most out of this last month of summer, I am so excited to have pumpkin spice lattes and glammed up makeup looks again.
Looking back at the makeup looks I have done on here so far they are mostly natural looks, because that’s what I wear on a day-to-day basis. However I want to start stepping out of my comfort zone and do more smokey, intense, fun looks. Today I did a halo inspired eye look, which I am now obsessed with! I have been wanting to dip into my Meet Matt(e) Trimony palette and play with the shade Matt Kumar because it’s a gorgeous red shade that can be used so many ways. I was going to do a step by step tutorial on this look but quickly realized that this would take 20 minutes to read, nobody has that kind of time lol. Instead, I am going to list the makeup products I used. If you want a tutorial on this looks let me know in the comments and I can do a video on it 🙂

Welcome back! I feel like this is going to be a little bit of a crazy week but I am going to stay determined to reach my goals. Today I am doing a makeup look, that I literally wear all of the time, and I realized I have never made a post about it so we are going to change that today. I called this look natural glam because this can be a look that has very minimal makeup or a look that has all of the “cake-up” you want lol. I wear it both ways, however lately here in Florida it has been ridiculously hot and humid so I opted for makeup I can wear all day without it looking gross.
I don’t know why the left eye doesn’t look the same as the right because in person they both look the same lol.

Good Morning, I hope you all had a good week and are ready for the weekend! I have been all about bronze glowing skin, and enjoying every bit of summer that I possibly can. Lately all over Pinterest I have been seeing beachy/mermaid inspired nails, makeup, outfits everything. Today I am doing my take on a mermaid inspired look. I didn’t go too dramatic because I did not want this to turn into Halloween makeup, I wanted this to be something I could actually wear out. I really love this look and I hope you enjoy 🙂
Primer- Too Faced HangoveRx
Foundation- Maybelline Dream Velvet in shade 20 classic ivory & Loreal Infallible pro-matte in shade 106 sun beige (I just mixed it on the back of my hand then applied to my face)
Concealer- Maybelline Fit Me in 20 sand (applied to my forehead, middle of nose, chin and under my eyes)
Cream Highlighter- Jour in tiare
Spray Bronzer- Lorac TANtalizer body bronzing spray (just in bronzing areas, cheeck bones, temples and under jaw line)
Setting Powder- Essence all about matt! (dusted over my T-zone and a light layer over my bronzer)
Bronzer-Essence sun club in shade 01 natural
Blush- Elizabeth Mott Show Me Your Cheeks in shade peach pink
Highlighter- Mary-Lou Manizer by the balm
Brows- Essence make me brow gel in shade 02 browny brows
Eyes- Michelle Phan the life palette
Crease: sun club bronzer followed by the first purple shade from the life palette
Outter V: the third shade from the life palette
Lid: Mac Cosmetics pigment in shade kitchmas (I would wet my brush with a setting spray before going in with pigment, since I didn’t have any I used rose water spray)
Once the pigment dries go back in with a blending brush to blend out the crease
Lower lash line: I used the first and third color from the life palette
Eye liner: Model Launcher in shade emerald isle
Mascara: Wet n’ Wild Lash-O-Matic
Urban Decay lipstick in shade pandemonium (after I applied it I blotted some off so it wasn’t as intense)
Nyx Lip Lingerie in shade baby doll (only a thin layer)
Light purple gloss from the life palette (just a tiny bit in the center of the lips)
My little sis is my photographer, and we made a stop to the dollar store in the middle of taking pics lol.
If you have made it to the end congrats! I hope you enjoyed this look, if you have a mermaid inspired look post a pic in the comments so I can see. I hope you all have an amazing weekend and I will be back next Tuesday with a fashion post.
Hi everybody, I hope your week is off to a good start. I’ve been having some fun lately trying out new products, so I thought I would review the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer . I originally picked this product up because I was running out of my Smashbox BB Water and this kind of looked like a dupe for that.
On the packaging it listed what the product actually would do, which is what got my attention. It has SPF 20, a retinol treatment, sheer tint and is oil-free not to mention the price point was $12.99, compared to Smashbox BB Water for $42. My initial impression was that I really liked this product, and that it was comparable to Smashbox. However after wearing it for a couple of weeks I didn’t like it as much as I initially did. The color of the product is interesting it looks more cool tone in the bottle, but when you put it on and blend it out you can’t really tell because of the sheer tint formula. I also thought this product would be perfect to wear going outside or to the gym, basically anywhere you will sweat a lot, and that didn’t work out too well. While it looks good when you put it on, after you start to sweat if you rub the product off on your hands, towel or anything it will easily wipe away and transfer. (Which I found out at the gym when I looked down at my shirt lol)
(Swatched on my hand)
Overall, I like this product I don’t think it is horrible but I think the Smashbox BB Water is a little better. I might repurchase this product but I would rather spend some extra money on a product like Smashbox and wear it more. I am not completely disappointed with this product because I will keep using this. It just didn’t live up to the expectation I had in my head.
I hope you enjoyed this review, I will be back later this week with another summer makeup look. Have a great day 🙂
