Hi loves, I am so excited because spring is here which means new spring styles! You can probably guess one of my favorite trends still…yes the cold shoulder. I know you probably are getting over it but when I saw this LC Lauren Conrad top I couldn’t help myself. This top is amazing because it’s combining two spring trends into one, the cold shoulder & pleats. If you are like me you probably never wear pleats, but Lauren incorporated it in a fun and cute way that you can’t say no to.
I hope you enjoyed and I’ll talk to you later 🙂
Hi loves, I hope you all are having a fabulous start to your week! I love the month of February for many reasons but one of them is because spring is around the corner. I can never wait so I just jumped right into spring makeup. I love this look because you can wear it for Valentine’s Day or anytime for a fun spring day. I am focusing the look just on my eyes today so here is how I got this look.
I started with my Meet Matt(e) Trimony palette
- Crease- I blended Matt Lin & Matt Evans all over, I then went in with a more dense crease brush and just used Matt Evans to make it more defined.
- With the same dense crease brush I took Matt Rossi and focused it in the lower part of my crease & blended until everything looked seamless.
- Lid- I first took Matt Thomas from my inner corner to about half-way across my lid.
- Then I used Too Faced shadows that unfortunately are no longer available (it was from a holiday palette) so I found colors in their Sweet Peach palette that are similar.
- First use a flat eye shadow brush with setting spray on it to apply the shade Just Peachy.
- When that dries use more setting spray and go in with the color Bellini just in the center of your lid to add dimension.
- Lower lash line- With a soft eye shadow brush smudge Matt Evans all over your lower lash line.
- Then take a more flat dense liner brush with the same Matt Evans shadow to make it more intense.
Finish with your favorite liner & mascara then viola, you have a gorgeous spring pink look! This is by far my favorite look for Valentine’s Day & just for the spring season in general.
Let me know what your favorite spring look is down in the comments!
P.S. tonight the new spring jewelry collection launching on my boutique at 10:00pm EST!!! You can be the first to see it before I feature it on my blog at alissagilbert.chloeandisabel.com
Good Morning everyone! It’s hard to believe that the second week of 2017 is already coming to an end. What is even crazier is that the Chloe + Isabel pre-spring collection has already launched. The second I saw it I instantly fell in love and knew that I had to share it with all of you!
The collection is called La Vie Boheme, which translates to the bohemian life, and that’s exactly what this collection is inspired by. It’s filled with blushed pinks, gold, silvers and my favorite rose gold colors. There are dainty pieces perfect for Valentines day and bold statement pieces for styling your favorite spring outfits. Below are just a few of my favorites:
Something that is also very special with this collection is celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkin partnered with C+I again to come out with more hair accessories! My favorite is the art deco inspired bun cuff.
I am loving everything in this collection and it really has me in the mood for spring now!
You can find everything in this post & more at alissagilbert.chloeandisabel.com

Good Morning! Today I am sharing a nail product that I have been loving for a while now and it’s the Sally Hanson Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthener. Normally I don’t need to use specific nail products. However back in January I had acrylic nails put on and I never found time to go back to the nail salon to get them filled in. Which left my nails destroyed and very weak, there wasn’t anything I could do with them. When I started using the Advanced Hard as Nails strengthener my nails finally started to get healthy again. This helped my nails so much, they aren’t weak and brittle anymore. It feels so good to finally have healthy nails back! With that being said, I probably won’t be getting acrylics back on anytime soon. They are too much upkeep and I like keeping my natural nails feeling and looking healthy. If you have any favorite nail products let me know:)
The card doesn’t show the price of each product but all of the products are drugstore so they are affordable. Everything I got in the box:
- Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation in Classic Ivory
- Laneige Water Bank Soothing Mask
- Pantene AIRspray Hair Spray
- CoverGirl Colorlicious Lipstick in Dulce de Leche
- Hawaii Tropic Island Sport SPF 30 Lotion
- Marlowe No.022 Body Butter
- Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes
- CeraVe Healing Ointment
I hope you liked this video let me know if you would want to see another one soon.
P.S. if you see something moving on my bed it’s my cat, and the shadow at the top of the video is from my ceiling fan sorry!
Hi everyone! Today’s beauty obsession is the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water. Before this I had never tried any products from Smashbox, and I only bought this cause I wanted to see how it was different than a BB cream (and Ulta had it on sale for only $25 so it was calling my name!) I have to say I did not think I was going to be that obsessed with this product but I am. It is amazing, I was using BB creams before which were good but some days when it was hot and humid it felt like everything was melting off my face. This BB water has a watery consistency so its very lightweight on the skin and it has SPF 30 which is perfect for the spring and summer months. I’ve tried blending this product in with a foundation brush and with a beauty blender and both ways work great. It just depends on how much coverage you want. More coverage is best with a foundation brush and a more natural coverage is best with a beauty blender. I typically use a beauty blender because it soaks up any excess product on your face so you don’t have a thick coverage, which for me living in a humid climate is perfect. This is definitely going to be my “go-to” product for spring and summer, I love it so much. If you have any beauty recommendations that you think I should try leave them in the comments below!
Hi, today I am sharing with you my favorite spring looks. I am not the type of person to follow every trend that pops up. If I like it then I might buy a few pieces but if I’m not that into it, I know it’s going to be a waste of money and I don’t even attempt it lol. The looks I am showing you today are what I keep in my closet and love to pull out for the spring and pretty much summer too, since you can’t really tell the difference in South FL.
In my opinion maxi dresses and even maxi skirts are a must have for everybody. It is something so easy to throw on to go somewhere casual and it’s an easy transition to dress up. It’s also perfect for all the girls who are on a budget. Instead of spending $80 or more on a couple nice pairs of jeans, you can spend $15-$30 on a cute maxi dress and have an outfit ready to go anywhere!
Anybody who knows me probably thinks that I own way too many flowy, loose fitting type of tops but I can’t help myself. They are so comfortable for everyday wear and it can easily transition to work wear with a blazer and black skinny jeans for a business casual look. The one I am wearing (the larger picture) is what I would wear on the weekend or to work. My sister (the smaller picture) is more casual weekend/beach top.
Lastly my spring must have is just a basic tee. This is something that I think many people overlook, but it’s so simple to throw on and casually go out or to put on a statement necklace and look more put together. My favorite place to buy these are from Kohl’s because they are typically pretty cheap ($5-$12) but hold up very well.
I hope you enjoyed my spring must haves! Let me know which look was your favorite and what your spring essentials are.
It’s finally Friday and to make it even better it’s Easter weekend. I love Easter because it’s when it starts to feel like spring to me; and I love having an excuse to go out shopping to buy a new spring dress! Today I thought I would share some of my favorite Easter things that I have found.
I love the idea of these glitter Easter eggs, because it’s a classier way to decorate them rather than the multi color dyed eggs that we all did as kids. Also let’s face it glitter is always the solution to make anything look better.
Okay seriously how cute are these?!?! Whenever I think about Easter candy I always think about peeps and this is a fun way to make them into delicious desserts.
If you are struggling for ideas on how to put together cute Easter presents all you need is a few extra Easter eggs. Putting these Essie nail polishes in them is great, also if you had some of the bigger Easter eggs you could put a NYX Butter Gloss in it too.
Lastly, to not forget what Easter is really about I found the cutest picture. And it’s the perfect reminder of what is really important on Sunday.
I hope you all have a great weekend enjoyed with your families! Let me know what your favorites for Easter are ❤
